 1.    Minimum Violation     

Most of these violations are a verbal warning and do not carry a monetary penalty

2.    Posting Requirements     

Citations and violations from OSHA must post it near the incident area

3.    Serious     

Hazard that can result in injury or death and does not resolve it. Fines can reach up to $15,625 per violation

4.   Other-Than-Serious     

Violation compromise’s an employee’s health or safety. Penalty can reach up to $15,625 per violation

5.    Willful or Repeated Violations    Violations repeated within three years, companies will face fines/penalties up to $156,259 per violation

6.    Failure to Abate  

If employer fails to abate the violation, company may assess a penalty of $15,625 per day beyond the abatement date
